Former Ariz. Gov. Symington: if McCain is not GOP nominee, Hillary becomes the next president

According to the Arizona Republic, former Gov. Fife Symington - a Republican and a strong ally of McCain's - believes that unless Senator McCain captures the Republican nomination, Senator Hillary Clinton will become the next president. Here's an excerpt from the article:

The former GOP governor remains strongly loyal to Sen. John McCain and had just commented to a reporter that unless McCain finds a way to pin down the Republican presidential nomination, he figures Hillary Clinton will be the next president.

McCain - Why Campaignia Covers His Campaign

From an editorial perspective, Campaignia’s publisher finds much to admire about Senator John McCain’s presidential candidacy. You may have arrived here from another www.Campaignia.org new-media site, The Tower: Surveying the Political World From High Above, which was dedicated to covering news about his campaign.

However, Campaignia and its new-media sites are not - officially, unofficially, quasi-officially, whatever adverb you’d like to use - advocacy sites for Senator McCain. Neither side has a monopoly on the truth, or on the best solutions to national issues, or on the politicians with integrity, honesty, and talent to serve well in political office. There are distinguished political leaders in both parties, who would make fine Presidents or legislators or governors.

A good analogy - Campaignia’s coverage is roughly modeled on the same paradigm that the mainstream media use, to cover campaigns and candidates. That is to say: the news coverage is intended to cover the campaign and candidates as fairly as possible. While at the same time, their editorial boards and columnists - of course - have their own views, and announce their support through endorsements.
